the Many Crimes of Almendria: An Exposeé

If you’re a micronationalist, or interested in micronationalism at all, you’ve likely heard of the United Socialist Republics of Almendria. Almendria attempts to portray itself as a glorious micronational power with hundreds of member states and an organized government structure. They even have made their own chat websites for government communications.

However, this façade of micronational brilliance quickly falls apart to the experienced micronationalist, and the dark side of the United Socialist Republics quickly shine through. On November 22, 2023, the USR began a reign of terror on lesser micronations, raiding their Discord servers and spamming them with obscene imagery and racial slurs. Multiple micronations have fallen to these raids, and Emperor Egret, a leader of a member state of Almendria , has even admitted to his plans of “conquering the micronational community”.

This is nowhere near the first the the USR has committed such foul crimes, however. Despite the Almendrian promise to make an equal society, Terry McKeen III, one of the leading figures of the USR, has made multiple anti-Semitic remarks, reposted and quoted neo-Nazis on Twitter/X, and claimed that homosexual people should be ‘sent to the camps’. Tizian Arunai himself is even claimed to possess CSEM for the purpose of planting in enemy Discord servers.

Even most of the ‘technological feats’ of the USR, such as AlmChat, are used as fronts for doxxing and IP grabbing. Charles I of Ela’r’oech was even once threatened by armed police officers after Almendrian officials had sent an anonymous tip to his local police station, claiming there was a fatally wounded female inside his house. No victim, however, was discovered, or even existed.
