Ridgelantic adopted as National Language

On Monday, 22 January 2023, the Ridgelantic President Forest C. F. passed a federal law adopting the Ridgelantic language as the nation language, with English being given a special status in the country. This act likely came as a response to the sudden growth of the Ridgelantic language. However, the law acknowledges the language as a minority language and promises that English speakers in Ridgeland will not have their rights infringed.

Whereas the Ridgelantic language is not yet the official language of the Sovereign State of Ridgeland;

Whereas Ridgelantic is not yet a standardized language;

I. Ridgelantic will be adopted as the official language of the Sovereign State of Ridgeland.

A. All federal government and records will be written in Ridgelantic, with English translations provided.

B. English will be given special status as a language in Ridgeland. Right to speak English will not be violated.
